Whit Stillman
After studying in Harvard, he first had a carreer of journalist, working for magazines like Harper’s, The village voice and the wall street journal. He was chief editor for Doubleday publishings. He settled in Spain in 1981; he worked in sales and promotion of Spanish films in the world. He participated in the direction of an independnt film of Fernando Colomo, Skyline. Metropolitan was his first full length film.
