Luis Olavo de Carvalho, a Brazilian born in Amazonia, amigrates in 1966 to the United States. Drafted by the American army, he is sent to Vietnal where he fichts from 1970 to 1972, immersed in a war which doesn’t concern him.

He was born in Brazil. He wrote his first articles on cinema, music and literature. He became a diplomat, always acting for culture. He was a teacher and made short films. His work is marked by his travels. He had good reviews as an author.
