There are many concurrent plots in this film. The main one being the one in which a desperate guy kills his parents with an open razor and then goes to the movies. At the same time, other violent events happen when two girls realize they are in love with each other.

Júlio Bressane

Júlio Bressane was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1946. He made his first full-lenght feature, « Cara a cara » in 1967. Over the years, Júlio Bressane has received many awards in Brasil, including that of the Brasilia Film Festival. A showing of his films has also given him renown at international festivals, such as Porto, Rotterdam, Syracuse, Paris and Toulouse. In November of 2002, he was honored by a retrospective of his work at the Turin Festival in Italy.
