Zülfü Livaneli
As a composer, he made fifteen full length films like Le troupeau and Yol, by Ilmaz Güney. He collaborated with Mikis Theodorakis for concerts and recordings of albums: one got a golden disc in Turkey. He won awards in his country as well as abroad. In 1986, he participated in the Issik-Kul forum in URSS, with Chingis Aïtmatov, James Baldwin, Yashar Kemal, Arthur Miller, Alvin Toffler, Peter Ustinov… He gave lectures organised by François Mitterand. He wrote short stories; one was shit in Sweden. His first feature film, Terre de fer, ciel d ecuivre, was shown in Cannes in 1987.
