Tizuka Yamasaki
She was born in Brasil. She is a Brazilian filmmaker. After assisting Nelson Pereira dos Santos, the founder of the Brazilian Cinema Novo movement, on his films, Yamasaki branched out on her own. She made her directorial debut with Gaijin, caminhos de liberdade (1980), an examination of the experiences of a family of Japanese immigrants living in Brazil during the early 20th century.
