Thomas Mauch

He was born in Heidenheim an der Brenz. He worked as an assistant operator and lived in Latin America and Asia where he directed political documentaries for the WDR channel. He also was a director of photography and worked with Werner Herzog, Alexandre Kluge, Werner Schroeter, Helma Sanders-Brahms, Luc Bondy and Christian Wagner. He participated in many TV films and short films as a producer, director and operator. Maria Von Den Sternen is his first feature film.
