Sólveig Anspach
Sólveig Anspach was born in 1960 in Vestmannaeyjar, Iceland, to an American father and an Icelandic mother.
After graduating from La Fémis (1989 – first graduating class), she directed several documentaries.
In 1998, she directed her first feature film Haut les coeurs ! for which Karin Viard won the Cesar Award for Best Actress.
Her American-Icelandic origins shine through in all of her films.
Sólveig Anspach passed away on August 7th, 2015.
