Rick Famuyiwa
Rick Famuyiwa is an alumni of the USC School of Cinematic Arts and the Sundance Institute’s Writer/Director Labs. Since then, he has written and directed the cult hits, The Wood, Brown Sugar, Our Family Wedding. In 2007, he received the NAACP Image Award for his screenplay, Talk to Me. Most recently, he wrote and directed Dope, for Forest Whitaker’s Significant Productions. Dope recently premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival winning the Special Jury Prize for Editing.
