Ramiro Lacayo
He was born in Nicaragua. He studied architecture and human sciences. He wrote poems and tales. When the insurrection occured against Somoza, he founded the Brigada Cinematografica. In the 80’s, he co-founded and headed the Foundation of the New Latin-American cinema. He headed the review Incine. He directed documentaries and feature films. He also wrote screenplays. His work was shown in festivals and won awards. He dedicated to literature and fine arts. The government of Nicaragua gave him a distinction, as well as the cultural institute Ruben Dario.
