Michelangelo Frammartino was born in 1968 and studied architecture at the Polytechnic School of Milan. In 1992, he directed his first short film. He realized video installations (Tracce, Presenze S-Connesse, La casa delle belle addormentante, Film) between 1995 and 1998. His first feature film, Il dono, received awards in several prominent international film festivals.
