MARCEL BELTRÁN

Marcel Beltrán is a Cuban director and screenwriter. He graduated from Cuba's EICTV and received a scholarship to study at Concordia University in Canada. His work focuses on political, environmental and social issues. Beltrán has participated in international programs such as Rotterdam Lab, Berlinale Talents and Locarno Open Doors. His short fiction film "La Nube" won Best Film at the Havana International Film Festival, and his feature documentary "La Opción Cero" premiered at IDFA 2020. He'll join the Factory with "Moa", his first fiction project, selected at La Fabrique des Cinémas du Monde in 2024.
