Majid Majidi

He was first intersted in theater when he was at school. He graduated in drama in Teheran and started as an actor. In 1979, stopped his studies to perform in Iranian movies; he worked fo M. Makhmalbaf who will introduce him to direction. He started as a filmaker in 1982 with Explosion, a short documentary film. Baduk is his first feature film.
