Gianfranco Mingozzi
Gianfranco Mingozzi was born in Bologna (Italy) where he graduated in the school of Law. In Rome he studied directing at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and worked as Fellini’s s assistant director (La dolce vita, Boccaccio 70). In 1964 he was employed by the National film Board of Canada. His first film was the documentary La Taranta, which won the first prize at the « Festival dei popoli » (Florence 1962).
