Francisco Athié
Born in Mexico, he graduated in the ibero-american university; he studied theatre in London and cinema in the Cinema Center of Mexico. He then became assistant director for the national theatre company and also worked for the mexican TV channel. In 1991, he was an assistant for Alfredo Joskwicz on the shooting of Playa Azul. He directed 15 short films wiwh where selected in many countries. He went to the university of Ohio on the relationship between cinema and digital pictures. Lolo is his first feature film and won the critics’ prize in the Guadalajara festival.
