Cristi Puiu

He was born in Romania. He early started painting. In 1990, he had an exhibition in Lausanne. In 1992, he entered the High School of visual arts in Geneva: he studied painting and cinema. In 1995, his short studies film Avant le petit déjeuner was shwon in Locarno. He is an painter and he makes documentaries and fictional films. Marfa si Banii is his first feature film.
