Beat Lottaz
He was born in Basle where he studied painting; he also studied etnology in Zurich. In 1983, he entered the German Academy of Cinema and television in Berlin where he studied with Krzysztof Kielowski. He made short films like Retouche in 1984, co-directed with Dieter Funk. He participated in full length films with Jörg Helbling and Raoul Peck ( he had writen the screenplay with him ). He also had a collaboration on the writing of a feature film by Pius Morger. Stille Betrüger is his first feature film.
