Voyages
Poland, Paris, Tel Aviv. The quest of three women whose destinies overlap. Riwka, 65 — a tourist bus on a road between Warsaw and Auschwitz. The bus drives through the frost of the Polish countryside and breaks down in the middle of nowhere. In the clamor of Yiddish, the anxious riders get out of hand. Regine, who is the same age, thinks she’s found her father, a very old man with a faulty memory who has come all the way to Paris from the other end of Europe to find her. Yiddish is his ultimate means of communication. Vera, an 80-year-old Russian, alone in the world, has just emigrated to Israel at the end of her life. Looking for a cousin she lost contact with many years ago, from bus to bus, suburb to suburb, along the busy boulevards of Tel Aviv, alone, a stranger to everything. She is lost, exhausted… Then, on one last bus, by pure chance, she meets Riwka…
