It’s not easy living in Kiev today if you’re not cut out for dollar-hunting! And Anatoly isn’t. Anatoly is an intellectual who hasn’t made the grade in the new “capitalist” jungle. He gets by on odd jobs. No wonder his wife’s been cheating on him and eventually drops him for another man. But Anatoly doesn’t feel like fighting back. Disgusted, he prefers to withdraw into passivity. He decides to commit suicide. And suddenly he has the possibility of arranging his own suicide by someone else’s hand – for there’s no shortage of contract killers in Kiev! But even here, Anatoly blows it. It’s the start of a series of crossed wires and bizarre meetings that may finally give him a place in this barbarous world. But can you really cure an honest intellectual ?
