L’Isola
The « Mattanza, » tuna fishing in May, will be Turi’s rite of passage. When summer comes, turmoil between the young people of the island and newcomers force these adolescents to mature faster. Their island also has a prison, where inmates live free within the natural enclosure formed by the sea. Both contemporary fable and documentary, this film is also the story of an island subject to the sea where children must grow up quickly to learn their trade.
