Pierre, an eight-year-old child, lives alone with his mother. On Mother’s Day, they leave the council flat where they live and go on a picnic near the river. There, two men appear and disturb their intimacy.

Laurent Achard

Born in 1963, Laurent Achard worked as assistant director on Jean-Claude Guiguet’s Faubourg Saint-Martin and Gérard Frot-Coutaz’s Après après-demain. In 1990, he made his first short, Qu’en savent les morts ? His second short, Dimanche ou les fantômes, shown at the Directors’ Fortnight, won prizes in various festivals. His first feature, Plus qu’hier, moins que demain, won the Cyril Collard Award.
