Dilan is a film about inner conflicts, a questioning of moral values in which the characters act and react in very extreme situations. In everyday life extreme events are decisive. In these arid and magnificent Anatolian landscapes, these events become explosive. In Dilan, it is the secret and respressed feelings that explode. They run as wild as a forest fire. Erden Kiral

Erden Kiral

He was born in Turkey. He studied fine arts and started working as a film critic and the publishing of cinema reviews. He dedicated to direction and worked in advertising. He directed short films and a first feature film in 1978. In 1980, he won a Grand Prize in Strasbourg for Terres fertiles. In 1983, Une saison en Hakkari won awards like the Fipresci Prize in Berlin. Le Miroir was shown in Venice and awarded in Figueira da Foz and Istanbul.
