Robert Van Ackeren

He was born in Berlin. He studied in Berlin and worked as a cameraman with German directors like Werner Schroeter. He made documentaries, short films and experimental movies. In 1971, he directed his first feature film. His work was shown in international festivals. He was a cinema teacher at the Art school of Cologne. His two feature films Die Reinheit des Herzens et Die Flambierte Frau were shown at the Directors’ Fortnight.
