Mike Figgis

He was born in Kenya. He went to Great Britain ( Newcastle ) in 1956. He played rock and made a record. From 1970 to 1980, il travelled in the USA, South America and the countries fo Eastern Europe with a thater compagny, People Show. He dedicated to writing and successful plays which won many awards: Redeugh, Slow Fade and Animals of the City. In 1984, he directed a drama for TV, The House, which had goord reviews. Thanks to this drama, he could direct his first feature film, Stormy Monday.
