Ari Folman

After his military service, Ari traveled around the world and realized this wasn’t for him. This experience encouraged him to study film.From 1991 to 1996 he directed several documentaries for Israeli TV before making his first feature, Sainte Clara. A first successful foray into animation with the documentary serie The Material That Love Is Made of incited him to renew the experience with Waltz with Bachir. The Congress is his most ambitious film.
