Alexandre Mitta
After studies in engineering, he worked as a drawer and caricaturist for the satirc review Krokodil. He studied cinema at the VGIK of Moscou with Mikahïl Saltykov. He had success with works dedicated to young people problems like Ouvrez la porte, on sonne; it won a Golden Lion in Venice in 1966. Brille, mon étoile, brille is with no doubt his most ambitious and achieved movie. In 1974, he directed Moscou mon amour. L’Equipage smashed audience records in Soviet Union and released in 90 countries. His last works were for example Conte de Noël and La Marche.
